Luis Enrique: "We knew it was going to be a tough game"

The Paris Saint-Germain coach and Danilo spoke to PSG TV after the 0-0 draw with Clermont Foot 63 on Matchday 7 of Ligue 1.

LUIS ENRIQUE

"We knew it was going to be a tough game. The Clermont team were very motivated and wanted to win the game. Maybe we lacked a bit of intensity, but I also think it was very difficult to play because of the state of the pitch. The ball was bouncing around and it was especially difficult to control. That obviously reduced our attacking possibilities, but despite that we still had control of the game.

The final result was a draw, but we could also have lost. Football is a very unpredictable sport. I looked at the statistics and we had ten shots on target, for a total of 21 shots. I think that should be enough to win the game, but that's not what happened. Now we have to prepare for the Champions League match away against Newcastle, and we really want to win this next game to consolidate our position in the group."

DANILO

"Clermont were solid defensively. They showed a lot of intensity and aggression. We tried to score an early goal, but we couldn't manage it. In the second half, we were more successful in threatening the opposition goal, but we struggled a lot against the keeper."
