Luis Enrique: 'There are lots of positives'

The Paris Saint-Germain coach gave his take on Les Rouge et Bleu's first friendly and victory of the summer. Hugo Ekitike, who picked up the first goal of the match, also stopped to speak to PSGTV.

Luis Enrique

"It's a typical pre-season game and I think there are a lot of positives in terms of what we're looking for. These are matches that allow the players to improve physically and tactically, to get used to things that are a bit different. I think it's good to give the players minutes to try and strengthen the team and there will still be a lot of changes."

Hugo Ekitike

"It's a nice inauguration for the training ground! No, it's good, it's really good. We've had a bit of a warm-up, we've got our legs ready for the Japan tour, with a win to kick things off. That's always good. It was to get our bearings, with what the coach asks of us and what we are working on in training. We put that into action, but there are still things to improve on, whether as a team or individually, but it's a start. We had the ball a lot and we kept it well. The coach doesn't like it when we don't keep the ball and he expects intense pressure as soon as we lose it. He's trying to instil his style and I think we got it right today."
