Luis Enrique: 'It's a win that does us all good'

Paris Saint-Germain's coach and first goalscorer of the evening spoke to PSG TV about the 3-1 victory over RC Lens in Ligue 1 Round 3.

LUIS ENRIQUE

"I'm very happy, what I saw tonight was players who were totally committed right from the start, players who trust me, and players who want to play the kind of football I'm asking them to. But all that takes time to mature. I really liked the second half today, and the energy we showed to create a lot of chances. We really hurt this Lens team, who are a very high-calibre team. It's a good win for everyone."

"I think the players' qualities as humans and the desire they have to bring joy to the fans are crucial. It's wonderful to come to this stadium. At every match, I don't know how many thousands of spectators come to support the team, it's wonderful. So it's up to us to repay the fans for all that by maximising our effort and hard work. We're always looking to score goals and not concede any... In conclusion, I'm happy tonight."

MARCO ASENSIO

"The most important thing was to win as a team. The crowd saw us as a united team and cheered us on throughout the match. We really played as a team, both defensively and offensively. I'm very happy for our first win of the season, especially as it was here at home."

"I'm very happy to have scored my first goal for Paris. The goal helped the team get into the game and opened up some space. The first goal is always the most important. I'm very happy for the win and we hope to continue like this."
