Luis Enrique: 'It's a win on a very difficult pitch'

The Paris Saint-Germain coach and Manuel Ugarte spoke to PSGTV after Les Rouge et Bleu's victory at the Meinau on Matchday 20 of Ligue 1 (1-2).

LUIS ENRIQUE

"We struggled, especially in the final minutes. But I think that the team was able to get us out of this situation. They decided, after we went 2-0 up, to put us under pressure with individual pressing and to create maximum risk chances. We tried to hold off and we could have scored the third goal. But once it went to 2-1, the match became a bit more complicated. I think it's a victory that will strengthen us because it's a very difficult pitch and Strasbourg are a good team.

The positive? For confidence, mentality, because the most important part of the season is coming. Because we rotate the players and everyone feels important. And that's very important for us."

MANUEL UGARTE

"It was an important victory against a strong opponent who hadn't lost in several matches. I don't think we played our best game, but we won away from home and that's what matters most. Now we have to keep going.

Difficult to beat Strasbourg? Without a doubt. Strasbourg are a very strong team. They are even stronger at home. The atmosphere is also challenging and I think we managed to handle it. We could have played a better game. But the good thing is that we redeemed ourselves by winning."
