Luis Enrique: "It was a great evening"

Luis Enrique and Vitinha spoke to PSGTV about Paris Saint-Germain's victory in the crazy Round 26 clash with Montpellier (2-6).

Luis Enrique

"Without a doubt, it was a great evening. I think we started the game very well, very seriously, and we took the lead very quickly. We were a little sloppy in defence and left too many transitions to the opposition, and they got back into the game. In the second half, we did what we'd done in the first: we hit the ground running and regained the lead. I think we were the better side.

Going further ahead at the top of the table? It's wonderful, perfect. That's what we were looking for. We knew before the game that if we managed to win, we'd be 12 points clear of our nearest chasers. That means four matches. There are eight to go. We really want to celebrate the title as soon as possible and keep thinking about being competitive in all the competitions we have left to play."

Vitinha

"Yes, it was a great evening for us - we played a great match and won 6-2. It's a good result. It shows our superiority and our quality. It's a shame we conceded two goals. But I must emphasise the way we reacted. Because it's not easy to play away and concede two goals, to have that reaction, and that's what we showed. Yes, it's important to score, I've done that before, but it's also important to take the initiative to take your shot. I know I have a good shot, I shoot well, but I need to shoot more. I'm happy to have scored, but we have to keep going because otherwise it's all been for nothing. COACH: He speaks French better than he plays football, so you can imagine!"
