Luis Enrique: "I enjoyed the whole team’s attitude"

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique as well as Gonçalo Ramos spoke to PSG TV after their side’s 3-1 win over Stade Brestois 29 in the last 16 of the Coupe de France this evening.

LUIS ENRIQUE

“I think that we created quite a few chances to score, and we had the opportunity to kill the game off. We went in at the break with a 2-0 lead, and I was worried, but I think that the best bit of news is that we won’t be playing against Brest again this season. I’d like to congratulate their manager, Éric Roy, and his players because they’ve given us three very difficult games. It was really tough to dispossess them, to win aerial balls and second balls and to beat their press. They’re a great team, so hats off to them.

“Tonight, I particularly liked the fact that if we’d been more timid or more fearful, Brest could have made our lives a lot tougher. We were good in our off-the-ball press, we scored the first goal thanks to a high press, we won the ball back a lot, we were a lot more aggressive in that press, and I enjoyed the whole team’s attitude.”

GONÇALO RAMOS

"I think we played a good game, and it was a good win. The victory is the most important thing, and I'm also happy to have scored a goal. It came from a good team move, and I was there to finish it off. It was important to be in the right position to score that goal.

"Our aim is to win every game and to get through to the next round of the Coupe de France. It's always important to win.

"The next game? We take on Lille, and we're going to prepare like we normally do in order to win that game, too."
