Luis Enrique: 'A different match'

The Paris Saint-Germain coach spoke to the media ahead of Wednesday's Coupe de France tie with Brest.

BREST

"We had some difficulties against Brest in the league game, but we expected that. We have to work on the ideas and principles that will allow the players to raise the level of their game. We expect a difficult match. Brest can keep the ball, like we can, but it'll also be a different game, because it's the Coupe de France."

COUPE DE FRANCE

"The Coupe de France is a different competition. In the league, it's all about consistency. In the cup, it's a knockout competition. If you don't play well, you can be knocked out. It's another approached, and you have to be very strong mentally."

EVOLUTION Of the team

"We are aware that we can do better in certain aspects. But right now, I can only say positive things. We are facing top-level opponents, who are having a great season. It's a tough league. I'm happy with what the team is doing, but it's normal - like every team in the world - that we have periods when we're not playing as well. I want to stay positive."

FIXTURE LIST

"There are so many matches that are going to come thick and fast that we want to get into a good dynamic. We have to keep playing well, getting good results. Against Brest, it's winner takes all: either we go through or everything stops."

PLAYERS' FOCUS

"When a player isn't 100% committed, he doesn't play. It's a principle. My players are fully focussed on their next game. You can't play thinking about the games that are coming up later, that's not how I see how you should approach a game. I can't imagine my players aren't in that mindset."
