Messi named man of the match
Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi was voted man of the match in the Trophée des Champions after a 4-0 victory over Nantes at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Sunday 31 July.
After scoring the opening goal, the number 30 became the seventh player from the club to win the trophy after Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2014, Serge Aurier in 2015, Angel Di Maria in 2016 and 2018, Dani Alves in 2017, Kylian Mbappé in 2019 and Mauro Icardi in 2020.
