Ligue 1 half-century looms!

Paris Saint-Germain can bring up 50 Ligue 1 points this Saturday with a win over Amiens at the Stade de La Licorne (KO 17:00 CET) as attentions turn back to the league championship.

After a three-week break, the Ligue 1 takes centre stage this weekend for the first time in 2019 as Les Rouge et Bleu travel to Amiens in Week 20, before jetting out to Doha on Sunday for the Qatar Tour 2019.

Paris still have two games in hand (vs Montpellier and Dijon), and current lead the standings with 47 points from a possible 51. A near-perfect start for Thomas Tuchel's side who have begun a marathon 16 matches before the next international break, including the UEFA Champions League last-16 double header against Manchester United.

The day after the 2-1 Coupe de la Ligue loss to Guingamp, Thiago Silva and Co. have the chance to bounce back now. On the training pitch, Thomas Tuchel has Saturday's match in full focus: "We have to rebound, we can always learn a lot from a defeat. But we are very disappointed to have lost, especially at home. But sometimes in sport, you have to lose to keep moving forward. We have to bounce back on Saturday."

Amiens drew 0-0 with Angers in their rescheduled Week 18 clash, and Christophe Pélissier now sit 17th in the Ligue 1 standings with 18 points.
