Leo Messi, Ligue 1's most decisive player
After the matchday 30 of Ligue 1 during which the Rouge et Bleu won against OGC Nice (0-2), the Paris Saint-Germain's n°30 cemented his place as the best passer in the league.
Paris Saint-Germain managed to get back to winning ways by beating OGC Nice (0-2) when they travelled to the Cote d'Azur last Saturday. The opportunity for the club from the capital to maintain their 6-point lead at the top of the standings, before hosting their runners-up RC Lens at the Parc des Princes this Saturday. And while Gigio Donnarumma was omnipresent in his goal, at the other end of the pitch it was a certain Leo Messi who turned the match on its head. After scoring the opening goal for Paris on the half-hour mark (0-1, 26'), the Argentine then put on his passer's hat to set up Sergio Ramos for the second goal (0-2, 76').
The result was that the No30 reinforced his status as the best passer in the league, with 14 assists to his name. With 14 goals and as many assists, Leo Messi has now been involved in 28 league goals this season, making him the most decisive player in Ligue 1.
