Lee Kang-in's South Korea through to the last 16!

A South Korea side featuring Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Lee Kang-in drew 3-3 with Malaysia at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah earlier today in their third and final group game at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.

Although the spoils were shared between the two sides, Paris's no. 19 provided an assist for the game's opening goal as well as sending a sublime free kick towards the target for his side's second, which Malaysia keeper Syihan Hazmi could only push into his own net. As a result, the Taegeuk Warriors finish second in Group E with five points, sealing their place in the last 16 of the competition, where they will face the winner of Group F at 17:00 CET next Tuesday at Education City Stadium.
