Leandro Paredes: "Lille is always a big game"

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes spoke to PSG TV about the clash that awaits the Parisians this Sunday at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille, in the final match of the 23rd match day of Ligue 1.

LEANDRO, WE ARE COMING off the back off the ELIMINATION AGAINST NICE...

"We have to move on quickly because there is no time for regrets. We know that it was very painful for us to be eliminated from such an important competition. It's hard, but you have to get over it, you have to think about what's coming. I think we have some very important matches this month, starting with Lille, which is the one that comes straight away, then Rennes and Real Madrid. These are very important games for us and we hope to get a positive result in all three games."

how do you see the level of the championship?

"You can see that the teams are getting better every year. They are working hard and there are good coaches and good players in all the teams in the league. The games are always more difficult, and we have to be as focused as possible every time we step on the pitch. We have to be as prepared as possible at all times."

We are seeing more and more low blocks....

"It's difficult when the teams that play against us defend very low, very tightly, which makes it difficult to find the space to create chances. But we are used to this, we try to improve, to improve the things that need to be improved to be able to get through these low blocks."

Paris is leading the championship, what is the state of mind of the group?

"We play to win, we play to win the championship, and all the competitions we are involved in. But it's not easy, the opponents also want to get good results, they want to beat us so winning is not easy. We focus on ourselves, on what needs to be improved each week, to become even better."

On Sunday, we travel to Lille. What kind of game can we expect?

"We like to play against Lille because they are a team that likes to play. They try to play good football, to put on a show, and I think it will be a good game like every time we play them. They are a rival, and we hope to get a good result."
