Mbappé scores and wins against Australia

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé's French team beat Australia 4-1 on Tuesday 22 November at the Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah in the first matchday of the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup group stage.

With Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Luis Campos, Christophe Galtier and Presnel Kimpembe, Pierre Gasly and his father Wilfrid looking on, the club from the capital's number 7 was decisive. He scored his 29th goal for Les Bleus and is now alone in 10th place in the French scoring charts, one place ahead of former Parisian Youri Djorkaeff. The Frenchman, who also scored an assist, became the most capped Paris Saint-Germain player with the Tricolores on Tuesday, on a par with former Rouge et Bleu player Blaise Matuidi, with 55 caps.
