Kylian Mbappé wins the UNFP Player of the Month Award for October

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé has been named the UNFP Ligue 1 Player of the Month for October.

Following the online vote, Kylian Mbappé beat his teammate Warren Zaïre-Emery and AS Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin to the title. The France international follows in the footsteps of Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, who took home the award in September, and makes it the 10th time he has received this trophy in his career. A record for the Parisian vice-captain, who now boasts a better record than Zlatan Ibrahimovic (5), Franck Ribéry (4), Eden Hazard (4) and even a certain Javier Pastore (4).

It’s the 47th time that a Paris Saint-Germain player has been awarded this title since the creation of the award at the start of the 2003-2004 season. The club from the capital have extended their lead over Olympique de Marseille (24), Olympique Lyonnais (18) and LOSC (18). With three goals and one assist in just 3 Ligue 1 encounters, Kylian Mbappé made the difference on average at least once in each match during the month of October - proof of his importance in the Rouge et Bleu squad.
