Javier Pastore: "It's something that I'll remember forever"

With Les Parisiens picking up their 11th French league title, the capital club’s former players have been reminiscing about their own championship-winning days. A title winner with Paris Saint-Germain in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018, Javier Pastore takes us on a trip down memory lane.

Javier, IF YOU COULD ONLY KEEP ONE MEMORY OF YOUR TIME IN PARIS, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

"I have a lot of memories of Paris, as I had so many wonderful experiences here, but the day of my arrival really was a fantastic moment. I can remember it like it was yesterday! It was an exceptional day. When I walked into the Parc des Princes, with all of the fans there... It was hugely important for my career, and the first title that I won with Paris was also amazing and incredible. It's something that I'll remember forever."

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE GOAL?

"I think that my favourite goal is the one that I scored against Chelsea in the Champions League. I scored it at the Parc des Princes, in front of the fans, and it was a great goal. I felt such immense joy, and I think that for the fans, it's the goal that left the biggest mark on my time here."

WHICH PLAYERS WERE YOU CLOSEST TO?

"I met a lot of players! We always had a superb team. I've stayed great friends with Marco Verratti, Maxwell, Zlatan Ibrahimović, 'Salva' Sirigu, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Ángel Di María, and I've stayed in particularly close contact with Ezequiel, Marco and Maxwell."

IS there a squad moment that you remember particularly fondly?

"I have a lot of stories and memories. We had an incredible squad that achieved a lot, and we had some wonderful experiences on and off the pitch. I can remember a tour in Qatar, the first time that we went there. That was an incredible moment for us all together."
