Ismaël Gharbi joins FC Stade Lausanne Ouchy on loan

The attacking midfielder and Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate has been loaned out to Swiss side FC Stade Lausanne Ouchy for the 2023–2024 season.

Having joined Paris Saint-Germain’s pre-academy in 2016 from Paris FC, Ismaël Gharbi then moved up to the club’s senior academy to play for the U17s and, later on, the U19s.

The attacking midfielder made his first-team debut in August 2021, as he featured in the Trophée des Champions against Lille in Tel Aviv. During the 2021–2022 campaign, the ‘Titi’ made his first-ever Ligue 1 appearance when he came off the bench against Troyes at the Parc des Princes on Matchday 36, with the youngster going on to take home the French league title at the end of that season.

Gharbi – who is part French, part Spanish – trained with the first-team squad on a daily basis over the course of the 2022–2023 season, during which time he made six top-flight appearances and earned himself another Ligue 1 title. The Paris native now has 12 appearances to his name in all competitions with Les Rouge et Bleu.

The club would like to wish Ismaël a successful season with FC Stade Lausanne Ouchy.
