International round-up

No fewer than 17 Paris Saint-Germain players have been on international duty this month.

LUCAS HERNANDEZ / OUSMANE DEMBÉLÉ / RANDAL KOLO MUANI / KYLIAN MBAPPÉ - FRANCE

France and Lucas Hernandez, Ousmane Dembélé, Randal Kolo Muani Kylian Mbappé are heading to UEFA EURO 2024! With a 2-1 win over the Netherlands on Friday - with captain Mbappé, Hernandez and Kolo Muani in the starting XI - Les Bleus secured top spot in Group B with a sixth win in as many games. Mbappé scored twice to take his international tally to 42 and move ahead of Michel Platini and into fourth on France's all-time scoring chart. He also started the 4-1 win over Scotland in a friendly in Lille five days later, scoring from the penalty spot and teeing up a goal. Dembélé also started the game with Kolo Muani coming off the bench.

DANILO PEREIRA / VITINHA / GONÇALO RAMOS - PORTUGAL

Paris Saint-Germain's Portuguese trio Danilo Pereira, Vitinha and Gonçalo Ramos also secured their place in Germany next summer thanks to a 3-2 win over Milan Skriniar's Slovakia in Porto on Friday. Ramos started the game and opened the scoring. Danilo and Vitinha were in the starting XI for the 5-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina three days later to secure an eighth victory in as many games and top spot in Group J. 

MILAN SKRINIAR - SLOVAKIA

After the defeat to Portugal, Milan Skriniar and his international teammates picked themselves up to win 1-0 in Luxembourg three days later. The Parisian captained his side in both games, and they are now second in the group on 16 points. 

FABIAN RUIZ - SPAIN

Fabian Ruiz will also be in Germany next summer thanks to a 2-0 win over Scotland in Seville and  a 1-0 defeat of Norway in Oslo. An unused substitute in the first game, he played the full 90 minutes of the second game to move La Rosa to the top of Group A on 15 points, level with Scotland who have also qualified. 

GIANLUIGI DONNARUMMA - ITALY

The Parisian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma captained the Squadra Azzurra to a 4-0 win over Malta in Bari, before losing 3-1 to England at Wembley, a result that leaves the European champions in third place in Group C on 13 points, three behind second-placed Ukraine who have played a game more. 

MARQUINHOS - BRAZIL

Marquinhos had two FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers to play. Firstly, the Seleção drew 1-1 with Venezuela before losing 2-0 to Uruguay and teammate Manuel Ugarte in Montevideo. The Paris Saint-Germain defender played the full 90 minutes of both games. The Auriverde are third in the CONMEBOL zone with seven points from four games, behind second-placed Uruguay on goal difference.

MANUEL UGARTE - URUGUAY

Manuel Ugarte also had two qualifiers. Before the big win over Brazil, Marcelo Bielsa's men drew 2-2 in Colombia, a game in which the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder came off before the end. His nation are five points behind CONMEBOL leaders Argentina.

ACHRAF HAKIMI - MOROCCO

Achraf Hakimi helped his country to a 1-1 draw with Côte d’Ivoire in a friendly before beating Liberia 3-0 in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Agadir. Already through to the final tournament early next year, Walid Regragui's side finish top of Group K ahead of fellow qualifiers South Africa. The Parisian number 2 played the full 90 minutes of both games, and registered an assist in the second match. 

LEE KANG-IN - SOUTH KOREA

After the Asian Games, Lee Kang-In had two friendlies with his nation, and he scored the first two goals of his senior international career in the 4-0 win over Tunisia in Seoul. He scored again and tallied an assist in the second match: a 6-0 defeat of Vietnam.

WARREN ZAÏRE-EMERY / BRADLEY BARCOLA - FRANCE U21

 Warren Zaïre-Emery and Bradley Barcola were involved in UEFA U21 European Championship Slovakia 2025 qualifying, helping Les Bleuets to two wins: 2-1 in Bosnia-Herzegovina and a record 9-0 defeat of Cyprus in Grenoble. Zaïre-Emery captained the side in both matches, while Barcola started the first game and came off the bench in the second. Thierry Henry's side have a 100% record after three games to top Group H ahead of Slovenia on goal difference having played a game less.

CHER NDOUR - ITALY U21

 Cher Ndour was also in U21 EURO qualifying. He helped his team defeat Norway 2-0 to leave his country second in Group A, two points behind the Republic of Ireland.
