In Tokyo, Paris Saint-Germain continues to grow

Currently on a summer pre-season tour in Japan for the second consecutive year, the players of Paris Saint-Germain integrated into Japanese culture and met with fans in Tokyo, where they will play their third and final match in Japan on August 1. During this special morning on the famous streets of Tokyo, they were able to witness their growing popularity in the country, especially among younger generations.

Five players (Gianluigi Donnarumma, Lucas Hernandez, Renato Sanches, Hugo Ekitike and Carlos Soler) went to Jikei University Hospital to be at the bedside of sick children and to offer them gifts and bring them some comfort. Through this initiative, the Parisians wanted to show their commitment to the Japanese community and thank them for the wonderful welcome they had offered them since their arrival.

The group then joined six players (Layvin Kurzawa, Manuel Ugarte, Fabián Ruiz, Ismaël Gharbi, Noha Lemina and Louis Mouquet) who had met and interacted with students aged eight to 12 from a Tokyo school, with whom they were able to play a few football matches on a small pitch in front of Japanese journalists.

The two groups then met in the shadow of Tokyo Tower for a sushi-making workshop, where they immersed themselves in the task, trying to imitate the expert gestures of local chefs.

A stone's throw away, there was six players (Kang-In Lee, Juan Bernat, Marco Asensio, Milan Škriniar, Ethan Mbappé and Serif Nhaga) indulging in gaming, a passion that Japan shares with the Parisian Club, in a spectacular arcade room.

The group of Marquinhos with Marco Verratti, Presnel Kimpembe, Danilo Pereira, Vitinha and Warren Zaïre-Emery went with club partner Nike to a school in Tokyo. After answering questions from the Japanese media, they spoke with children aged 13 to 17, boys and girls, and gave them advice on how to continue to progress in their game, before playing small games with them. The event ended with a loud "This is Paris" chanted by the children in the middle of the players.

Finally, Neymar Jr., Achraf Hakimi, Cher Ndour, Keylor Navas, Ilyes Housni took part in interactions with supporters and club partners at the hotel before going to check out the third PSG store, opened specifically on the occasion of the tour on Tokyo's famous Omotesando Avenue. In the shop, they were able to participate in a traditional summer festival with rifle shooting and ice cream stalls. They were also able to discover the collections selected by the Japanese designer Poggy, the capsule produced with the American artist Futura and, as a world premiere, the swimsuits resulting from the collaboration with The Weeknd.

In 2022, Paris Saint-Germain's first tour of Japan confirmed the enthusiasm for the Club, marking a new stage in the international development of the Paris Saint-Germain brand in the country. The Club is currently making its second tour in two years in Japan where it is already strongly established with fan clubs, shops in Tokyo and Nagoya, a growing presence on social networks, in particular Line and Twitter in Japanese, a PSG Academy, and the BrilliantCrypto global partner.
