Hakimi's Morocco finish top after draw with Gabon
Paris Saint-Germain’s defender Achraf Hakimi helped Morocco draw 2-2 with Gabon on Tuesday 18 January at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde, in the third and final matchday of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021.
The rouge et bleu right-back scored a sublime goal from a free-kick at the end of the match to ensure that the Atlas Lions, who had already qualified for the last eight of the competition, finished first in group C. In the next round, former Paris Saint-Germain player and coach Vahid Halilhodzic’s men will face the third place team from group A, B or F on Tuesday 25 January at 20:00, once more in Yaounde.
