Global media salute Paris win!
Across the planet, the media heaped praise on Paris Saint-Germain for their UEFA Champions League win over Manchester City.
L'Equipe's headline reads 'Libéré(s)' - Freed - suggesting the win and a first goal for the Club for Lionel Messi bodes well. Inside, they note the performance was 'Like a dream' as the Rouge-et-Bleu claimed a "prestigious win" with an "iron-clad defence". We couldn't have put it better ourselves...
Le Parisien says 'Paris brings out its genius', capturing both the outstanding individual and collective displays at the Parc des Princes. The paper also notes the Club is now joint-top of the group with Club Brugge.
Messi was headline news in England too. 'Magical Messi' for the Daily Express, and 'Lionel Flair' for the Daily Mail. The Guardian picked out the incredible atmosphere at the Parc des Princes, something a number of other media highlighted.
La Voz in Argentina talked of Messi's 'First shout in French', while Marca in Spain focussed on Paris Saint-Germain's front three, 'Mbappé, Neymar and Messi, united in victory.'
