Four Paris players shortlisted for the FIFA FIFPro World 11

Paris quartet Gianluigi Donnarumma, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr are among the 23 players shortlisted for the 2021 FIFA FIFPro Men's World 11, the team of the season for last term.

In addition, former Paris players Christiane Endler and Irene Paredes have both been included in the shortlisted squad for the FIFA FIFPro Women's World 11.

The World 11 is selected via the votes of thousands of professional footballers across the globe. Each player must vote for three goalkeepers, three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards. The three keepers, six defenders, six midfielders and six forwards who receive the most votes then earn a spot in the shortlisted squad for the World 11. To round out the squad, the two remaining outfield players with the most votes are also included.

The World 11 itself will be made up of the goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards who receive the most votes in each category, plus the one remaining outfield player with the most votes. FIFA and FIFPRO will unveil the Men's World 11 during The Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony on Monday 17 January 2022.
