From the arrival to training: a look back at the first day in Japan

The Paris Saint-Germain players, who left Paris to head to Tokyo this Saturday to begin the Japan Tour 2022, took part in their first training session there.

It was a first day of getting used to things, but also to quickly get into the Japanese atmosphere! After a long journey from Paris to Tokyo, the Paris Saint-Germain players received a very nice welcome from their Japanese fans in front of their hotel.

With autographs and flash photography everywhere, the Rouge et Bleu were soon able to take note of the local enthusiasm, led in particular by the Paris Saint-Germain Japan Fan Club, which is very active in the Japanese capital.

After having settled in to their team base, some of our players had a media session! The Messi - Neymar Jr - Mbappé trio thus participated, just like their coach Christophe Galtier, in a presentation conference of this summer tour in Japan. The opportunity for our strikers to exchange a few words with the local press.

"It's a pleasure to be here again, I hadn't been to Japan in a while. We know how great the fans are here and the joy they feel when they see big clubs coming here for their pre-season tours." said Kylian Mbappé on that occasion.

At the end of the day, our Parisians were then able to discover the Chichibu Memorial Rugby Ground, a stadium located in the centre of Tokyo, where they will take part in their training sessions.

This was the very first session they took part in on Sunday evening. After working in the gym and 40 minutes of training, the players from the capital were able to return to their hotel. On the agenda: a good night's sleep to get over the jet lag, before a very nice week in the Japanese atmosphere!
