Florenzi's first!

Le nouveau parisien a pu prendre part ce samedi 12 septembre à sa première séance d'entraînement. Une séance forcément spéciale, aussi parce qu'elle précède, déjà, le Classique face à l'OM.

After his opening day was spent being presented to the media, the Italy international was able to put on his boots and get out onto the Ooredoo Centre pitch on Saturday. After the pre-match press conferences of coach Thomas Tuchel and Presnel Kimpembe, the squad - with their new addition - got down to work ahead of Sunday's meeting with Olympique de Marseille at the Parc des Princes.

A little earlier in the day, Florenzi's new coach had outlined just why he's so happy to have the Italy international to call on: "I'm happy to have him with us. I've followed him a lot. He played for the same club for a long time, which is something I like. He has been one of Roma's best players, and one of the best in Serie A. I like his attacking style of play, he's very active on the pitch. We want to see the best possible Florenzi in Paris. I think he's just the sort of player we need on the right."

In the session, there was technical work with the ball and a fine-tuning of the tactical set-up with Florenzi in the thick of it as he prepares to take his first steps at the Parc.
