First training session in Singapore

Paris Saint-Germain trained for the first time since touching down in Singapore on Wednesday at the Geylang Field, in front of the adoring gaze of 30 children from the Singapore Football Federation.

After lunching in the team hotel and enjoying a little free time, the players and coaching staff travelled the few kilometres to Geylang Field in their specially fitted team bus. Once there, Les Rouge et Bleu were met by 30 children from the Singapore Football Federation, who got the chance to capture the moment for posterity with a group photo in the middle of the pitch.

After the photo, at 18:00 local time, Les Parisiens began training in earnest with some running and then core strength exercises, under the gaze of the local budding footballers and the cameras of the French and international media. Then it was time for some rondos and then passing and possession drills, while the goalkeepers worked separately.

At the end of this high-intensity session, the young Singaporean footballers got to train under the direction of Pierre-Yves Bodineau, technical director of the PSG Academy who introduced the young players to the capital club’s methods. The training session brought the curtain down on a very busy first day for Les Rouge et Bleu. On Thursday, Les Parisiens will train once again before a series of promotional activities all over Singapore.
