First big test

Paris Saint-Germain will face their first big pre-season test when they face Bayern Munich in their opening International Champions Cup fixture in Austria on Saturday.

The club is once again involved in the International Champions Cup, and this year heads to Austria to face Bayern Munich. A meeting of two European heavyweights as they hone their preparations for the coming season.

The Wörthesee Stadion in Klagenfurt is not unknown to Paris, who won the Trophée des Champions there by beating Lyon 4-1 in August 2016.

Against Bayern, Paris will not have a number of their players who are taking a rest after the World Cup. It will still be a good opportunity for Thomas Tuchel to see the state of his troops and the chance for some to impress the new coach.

Making an impression, building fitness and continuing to build towards the new season, those are the keys to the game before the return to Paris and then the trip to Singapore - leaving on 24 July - for two more ICC 2018 fixtures.
