Firefighters to kick off Monaco game

This Sunday 21 April at the Paris Saint-Germain v AS Monaco match at 9pm, Paris Saint-Germain will pay a special tribute to the Paris Fire Brigade who so courageously fought the fire that partially destroyed Notre Dame Cathedral last Monday evening.

A jersey with a magnificent image of Notre Dame Cathedral will be worn by the Paris Saint-Germain team, and the back of shirt will bear the inscription “Notre Dame” in place of the players’ names.

The club would like to warmly thank its partner Emirates for graciously offering the central shirt sponsor area it usually occupies on the official jersey, and is also very grateful to official partners Ooredoo and QNB who also usually feature on the shirt.

Two members of the Paris Fire Brigade accompanied by children will do the official kick-off for the match, with Paris Saint-Germain also sending 500 invitations to the Paris Fire Brigade, their families and the charities they support.

To extend this spirit of solidarity, Paris Saint-Germain will release 1,000 limited edition jerseys with the Notre Dame image, available from Sunday at 9:45pm at the PSG Megastore opposite Parc des Prince and on the club website (psg.fr), and from Monday morning at official points of sale. The shirt will be priced at 100 euros with all profits going to charities linked to the Paris Fire Brigade.

As previously mentioned in the aftermath of the fire, Paris Saint-Germain will also coordinate other initiatives to raise additional funds to support the Paris Fire Brigade and contribute to the reconstruction of Notre Dame, one of the most admired symbols of Paris and France.
