The win over Barcelona in numbers

All the key stats from Paris Saint-Germain's stunning 4-1 UEFA Champions League triumph at Barcelona.

1

Paris Saint-Germain became the first French team to beat Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League after 10 games without a victory for a Ligue 1 side (2 draws, 8 defeats). It's the first French defeat of the Catalans in any European competition since FC Metz won 4-1 in the first round of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in October 1984.

3

Kylian Mbappé became the first player ever to score a hat-trick against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League knockout stages. At 22 years and 58 days, he's the third-youngest player to score a hat-trick in the competition's knockout rounds after Nicklas Bendtner with Arsenal in 2010 (22 years, 52 days) and Gerard with Valencia in 2000 (21 years, 24 days). The Parisian number 7 has scored 10 knockout stage goals. Only Karim Benzema (18) and Thierry Henry (12) have struck more times among French players in the competition's history.

4

Moise Kean, who scored his side's third at the Camp Nou, has been involved in four UEFA Champions League goals (3 goals, 1 assist) since the start of the season. Among the players born in 2000, only Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland (6) has been involved in more goals than the Italy international in this season's competition.

20

Paris Saint-Germain have now scored in their last 20 UEFA Champions League away games. Only Real Madrid (22 matches between 2010 and 2014) have done better in the competition's history. This was the capital club's first away win in the competition after conceding the opening goal since beating Ludogorets 3-1 in September 2016. Barcelona had not lost at home since opening the scoring since February 2007 when they were defeated 2-1 by Liverpool. Beaten 3-0 by Juventus on 8 December, Barça have lost successive home games in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history. It's also the first time they've conceded at least three goals in back-to-back home games in UCL history.

111

Mbappé's hat-trick took him to 111 goals for Paris Saint-Germain in all competitions, making him the club's third all-time highest scorer. He overtook Pauleta (109) and now only Edinson Cavani (200) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (156) are ahead of him.
