Fabián Ruiz: "We know that they're a big team"

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder spoke to the press today ahead of the UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg against Real Sociedad de Fútbol, which kicks off at 21:00 CET tomorrow at the Parc des Princes.

ON THE IMPORTANCE OF TOMORROW'S GAME

"We know that it will be a very important game. We're really eager and excited, but we're trying to stay calm. Tomorrow will be another tough game, and the most important thing for us is to be ready. We'll need to give everything, as we do in our other games, and to be better than them in order to come out on top. We'll have to stay focused for 90 minutes. This is a wonderful competition, and Paris Saint-Germain needs to be competing on every front. We're really eager, but we don't feel any particular pressure."

ON Real sociedad

"I know La Real very well. We know that they're a big team with top-quality players. They're an organised side that likes having the ball, and their counter-press is very good."

ON SQUAD rotatioN

"There are a lot of players in this squad. From one game to the next, the manager can rotate his side, which means that we all play a part. If we don't give 100% every day, we know that someone else will play in our place."

ON Warren Zaïre-Emery

"We're not surprised by how good he is; we knew about his potential. Warren is an exceptional player and a good person on and off the pitch. I think that he's got a bright future ahead of him, both with Paris Saint-Germain and with the France team."

ON PARIS'S PLAYING STYLE

"When a new manager arrives, they come in with their own playing style, and it's up to us to apply that. It took some time to adapt, and I think that's normal, especially with how many new players came in. Now, we're getting our bearings, and tomorrow's game will be an opportunity to show that in this amazing competition."
