A bit of history...

Angers have twice marked the history of the capital club: it was against the SCO that Paris Saint-Germain played their first match in the top flight, on 11 August 1971 (0-2 defeat).

Three years later, on 13 August 1974, Paris Saint-Germain won their first ever top-flight match at the Parc des Princes, beating the Angevins 3-2. The Parisian club now has 529 wins (in 866 matches) on the Porte d'Auteuil pitch.

In terms of direct confrontations, Paris Saint-Germain and Angers will face each other for the 32nd time in official matches. The advantage goes to the club from the capital, with 21 wins, 7 draws and only 3 defeats.

Paris Saint-Germain have now gone 27 matches without defeat against Angers. The last time Paris lost to Angers was on 12 January 1975 (1-3), 48 years ago. It is a record for the Red and Blue.

The Parisians remain on a run of 14 consecutive wins against Angers in official matches, since the 0-0 draw at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Ligue 1 on 1 December 2015, a run that is the second best in the club's history, behind the 17 wins against Nantes (run ended).

Paris may have seen its unbeaten run come to an end at Lens, but the capital club is still unbeaten at home this season.

The last time the Red and Blue lost at the Parc des Princes in the league was on 3 April 2021 against Lille (0-1). Since then, the Parisians have gone 30 matches without defeat (26 wins and 4 draws). Paris Saint-Germain's record is 41 matches without defeat, from 20 March 2016 (Monaco, 0-2) to 12 May 2018 (Rennes, 0-2).
