what's at stake...

Paris Saint-Germain, who are on a 13-game unbeaten streak in Ligue 1 (eight wins and five draws), are sitting pretty at the top of the league ahead of their trip to defending champions Lille, who are in 11th place and 21 points behind them.

The club from the capital have only lost one of the 22 league games they have played, the third best record in the history of the Rouge et Bleu, behind the 1985-1986 and 2015-2016 seasons (no defeats), and on a par with 2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2018-2019.

Even more impressive, the club from the Capital have 53 points after 22 matches played, no other French team has done better since... the 1961-1962 season (53 points for Lyon in 2005-2006), it is also the 5th best performance in 60 years behind Paris-Saint-Germain’s teams from 2018-2019 (62 points), 2015-2016 (60 points), 2017-2018 (56 points) and 2019-2020 (55 points).

The Parisians' record at Lille has been fairly positive since 2012, with 7 wins, two draws and one defeat in their last 10 official matches.

The only time the Rouge et Bleu lost to the Dogues was on 14 April 2019: a 1-5 defeat on 14 April 2019 in the league was the club's biggest defeat in Ligue 1 since 2011. The Parisians had not conceded five goals in the league since 2 December 2000 (a 5-1 defeat at Sedan) and hadn't lost by four goals since 27 April 2010 (a 4-0 loss at Grenoble). It was also the last time the Rouge et Bleu conceded five goals in an official match.

the keys to the match...

The club from the capital will be able to count on their striker Kylian Mbappé, who has just played his 200th official match in the Rouge et Bleu colours. The Parisian striker has scored 151 goals and provided 70 assists since making his debut for Paris in 2017.

The Parisian forwards enjoy facing Lille, with the Dogues conceding 129 goals against Paris-Saint-Germain, in the top 10 in the club's history behind Saint-Etienne (164 goals), Lyon (161 goals), Lens (149), Bordeaux, Marseille and Nantes (145), Metz (138) and Bastia (134).
