Paris – Pays de Cassel, an unseen encounter! It's the first team these two teams play each other tonight in Lens.

The northern club, who play in the Régional 1 championship, will become the Rouge et Bleu's 101st opponent in the Coupe de France, but also their 213th opponent in official matches since the club from the capital was founded in 1970. Pays de Cassel will succeed Entente Feignies-Aulnoye, who were beaten by the Parisians (0-3) in the round of 32 last season, on 19 December 2021.

It is also PSG's 4th match at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis for a Coupe de France match against another club than RC Lens, with a record of 2 qualifications (against Avion 4-1 in the round of 32 on 12/02/1994, against Vermelles 4-0 in the round of 64 on 07/01/2006) and one elimination (against Valenciennes 0-1 in the round of 64 on 17/01/1990).

With 28 goals scored, François M'Pelé is the top scorer for Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de France. He is ahead of Kylian Mbappé (22 goals), Edinson Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Pedro Miguel Pauleta (16 goals), Safet Susic (15 goals), Mustapha Dahleb (14 goals) and Dominique Rocheteau (13 goals).
