Paris will face Manchester City in the semi-finals!

Paris Saint-Germain will face Manchester City FC in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. The first leg will take place on Wednesday 28 April in France, and the return leg on Tuesday 4 May in England.

The team that comes out on top after the two legs will head to the final on 29 May at Istanbul's Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Turkey, where they will face the winner of the match between Real Madrid and Chelsea. According to the draw, the winner of the first semi-final "will host" the winner of the second.

As a reminder, the club from the capital qualified for the knockouts of the UEFA Champions League after topping Group H with 12 points, ahead of Leipzig (12 points), Manchester United (9 points) and Istanbul Basaksehir (3 points), then beat Barcelona in the Round of 16 (4-1, 1-1) and Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals (2-0, 0-1).

Manchester City, current leaders of the Premier League, secured their place in the semi-finals after finishing in pole position in Group C with 16 points, ahead of Porto (13 points), Olympiacos and Marseille (3 points), then beat Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Round of 16 (2-0 , 2-0) and Borussia Dortmund  in the quarter-finals (2-1, 2-1).

In the club's history, the two sides have played each other on three occasions: in the UEFA Cup (ex-UEFA Europa League) 2008-2009 with a 0-0 draw in Manchester on 3 December 2008, then in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League 2015-2016 with a victory for the Citizens (2-2 draw in Paris on 6 April 2016, and a 1-0 win for City six days later in Manchester).
