Paris will face Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League!

Paris Saint-Germain will play Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League. The first leg will take place on Tuesday 30 April or Wednesday 1 May at 21:00 at the BvB Stadion Dortmund, and the second leg will be held on Tuesday 7 or Wednesday 8 May at the same time at the Parc des Princes.

As a reminder, the club from the capital, currently top of Ligue 1 with 63 points from 28 matches, qualified for the UEFA Champions League semi-finals by finishing 2nd in Group F with 8 points, behind Borussia Dortmund (11 points) and ahead of AC Milan (also 8 points, but edged out on head-to-head goal difference) and Newcastle United FC (5 points). They then eliminated Real Sociedad de Futbol in the Round of 16 (2-0, 2-1) and FC Barcelona in the quarter-finals (2-3, 4-1).

Before the two encounters earlier in the the season, which ended with a 2-0 victory for Les Rouge et Bleu at home in the Parc des Princes and a 1-1 draw in the return leg in Germany, the two clubs had met 4 times in their history: during the 2010-2011 season with a 0-0 draw in France and a 1-1 draw in Dortmund during the group stage of the UEFA Europa League, and during the 2019-2020 season with a 2-1 victory for Dortmund in their home stadium and a 2-0 victory for Paris at home in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

The Germans, currently 5th in the Bundesliga with 56 points from 29 matches, secured their spot in the semi-finals of the competition by eliminating PSV Eindhoven in the Round of 16 (1-1, 2-0) and Club Atlético de Madrid in the quarter-finals (1-2, 4-2).
