Doha, we're here!

Paris Saint-Germain headed to Doha on Sunday for their 2019 Qatar Tour.

The day after the 3-0 win at Amiens, the majority of the Parisians met up again at the Ooredoo Training Centre on Sunday morning. After a short coach ride, the Rouge-et-Bleu met the rest of the delegation at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport ahead of a six-hour flight - taking off at midday - bound for Doha.

The capital club's party touched down in Qatar around 20:00, with the thermometer around 20°C, and then headed fo their hotel in Doha's Aspire Zone, their base for the duration of their stay. After some exchanges with local fans and dinner, the players headed to their rooms as they prepare to embark on a four-day camp. "We're going to have five training sessions on excellent pitches in a nice temperature and in a calm atmosphere," coach Thomas Tuchel said. "It's perfect given the number of matches that will come thick and fast when we get back."

The players echoed their boss' thoughts. "We want to achieve the goals we have set ourselves," Thiago Silva said. "So we need to prepare well, notably during this week in Qatar. We'll have to return with a lot of motivation in order to string together wins." "This training camp is important for us, because we returned to competition after just two days' training," explained Julian Draxler. "The first games of the year were not easy, and we now have a week to prepare ourselves for the rest of the season."

Also on the menu will be activation events for Paris Saint-Germain's various sponsors, meetings with local fans, and the inauguration of the Doha Academy.
