David Beckham: 'A dream for every supporter to see this match'

The former Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid midfielder discussed the first leg of the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League between the two giants of European football.

David, you know both teams. What kind of match can we expect to seE?

"In my opinion, we can expect to say a very attacking match. Two huge institutions will battle it out, two of the most exciting teams out there at the moment. Whatever happens when you watch two teams like PSG and Real, you know that it's going to be very exciting for the supporters."

IT'S A MATCH that everyone is looking forward to...

"Of course! When you look at the players, the history of both sides, the passion of the supporters and these two cities... It's a dream for every football fan to see this match."

what do you make of this encounter, with all of these top players on the pitch?

"If you compare the two teams, they are both top of their league, with two top coaches and excellent players. I saw that Sergio Ramos had scored his first goal and I was really pleased for him. He has had some difficult times with his injuries, so to see him play and score his first goal was a great moment. There's also Kylian, Neymar, all of these top players. And then of course, Leo Messi, without a doubt one of the best players in the history of the sport."

What memories do you hold of your time in paris?

"I only have good memories of my life when I was here and playing for PSG. From the moment that I set foot in the stadium, in this city, I felt like I had already been here for 15 or 20 years because PSG is a family and when you are part of a family, it doesn't matter if it's been 2 months, 6 months or 6 years, it's still the same, you are part of that family. So it was special for me to finish my career in this way, with a title, with such great teammates, and under this management and in front of these supporters."
