Danilo Pereira: 'A source of pride for me'
The Portugal international gives his reaction to arriving in Paris and details his ambitions in the Paris Saint-Germain shirt.
Danilo, how does it feel to have signed for Paris Saint-Germain?
"It's a very special feeling to sign for this club. I have waited for this moment for a long time. I now hope to give my all in order to help the team to achieve its objectives this season."
Why have you chosen to join Les Rouge et Bleu?
"The thing that convinced me is the club itself and its size. Paris Saint-Germain is a club that is very well-known in Europe and all over the world. And that is motivating for any player."
What kind of player are you? How would you describe yourself on the pitch?
"I am somebody who never gives up, both on and off the pitch. During the match, I remain focused until the very last second, I battle for every ball and I want to play good football."
What vision do you have of the club? How is the club considered in Portugal?
"Paris Saint-Germain is considered a big club in Portugal. It was Pauleta's club, a brilliant striker for Portugal and Paris Saint-Germain. People like him a lot here and it's also a source of pride for me to join a club at which a Portuguese legend left his mark."
What are you objectives as you sign for the club from the capital?
"My ambition is to win as many trophies as possible! I think that is what every player dreams of! You always need to dream big and look to go out and achieve challenging objectives."
