Dani Alves medical update
Further examinations have confirmed the initial diagnosis of the right knee injury sustained by Dani Alves in Tuesday's Coupe de France final.
The time necessary for a conservative injury treatment are not compatible with an optimal preparation for the World Cup. In these conditions, and in consultation with the player and the medical staff of Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazil national team, the decision has been taken to operate. Dani Alves will undergo surgery as soon as the state of his knee permits.
