Dani Alves makes his return!

For the first time since 8 May this year, Dani Alves laced up the boots for a competitive match, against Toulouse at the Parc des Princes.

Seven months ago, Dani Alves suffered a career-threatening knee injury in the final of the Coupe de France that denied him the opportunity to play in the World Cup in Russia.

He received a fantastic ovation on Saturday afternoon at the Parc, when he came on for the final 20 minutes against Toulouse.

After the match, Dani Alves spoke to PSG TV about being being back on the pitch: "This is an unforgettable day for me. I have been sidelined for so long. I had to be so patient and work so hard to get back here. I still have a lot of work ahead of me, but I am so happy to be back out there today, helping my teammates on the field."

An important element in the changing room, the Brazil international never lost his positive outlook and smile, despite the weeks of re-education.
