Classiques, big games, the dates to remember: the full Ligue 1 fixture list!

The official start of the French league season is now confirmed! Here's a closer look at the schedule that awaits Paris Saint-Germain for the 2023-2024 season.

The Ligue de Football Professionnel unveiled the official fixture list for the 2023-2024 Ligue 1 season on Thursday 29 June. It's an opportunity for Paris Saint-Germain to tick off a few key dates in their league season.

The first and last matchday: The reigning champions will have the honour of kicking off their campaign in front of their home fans, as the Rouge et Bleu host Lorient at the Parc des Princes on Matchday 1. Then, on Matchday 38, the club from the capital will bring the season to a close at FC Metz.

The Classiques: The meetings between two of our league's iconic rivals remain a historic fixture every season. Paris will host the first Classique on Sunday 24 September to round off matchday 6, while the Parisians travel to the Velodrome on 31 March for matchday 27.

Six action-packed opening fixtures: these big footballing nights are hotly anticipated, and now we know when to tune in! And Paris Saint-Germain won't be wasting any time getting into the swing of things, as they welcome last season's runners-up RC Lens on Matchday 3 of Ligue 1 (August 27). The following weekend (3 September), they travel to rivals Olympique Lyonnais, before a third big game when they welcome OGC Nice on Matchday 5 (17 September), followed by the Classique on the next Sunday. In other words: fasten your seatbelts, the first 6 matchdays are going to be exciting!

The other dates to look out for:

- Paris host AS Monaco on Matchday 13 (26 November), and travel to Monaco on Matchday 24 (3 March).
- Paris travel to Lille on matchday 16 (10 December), and welcome the Dogues on matchday 21 (11 February).
- After the first phase, Paris will travel to Lens on Matchday 18 to kick off the return phase (14 January), host Lyon on Matchday 30 (21 April), and travel to Nice on Matchday 32 (4 May),
