Christophe Galtier: "Tonight's defences neutralised the attacks"

Here are the post-match reactions from the Parisians after the draw against Benfica on Tuesday night on matchday 4 of the Champions League group stages.

CHRISTOPHE GALTIER

"The two matches are different. In the first game, the goalkeepers were very busy, both the Benfica keeper and Gigio Donnarumma. Did the fact that we analysed and saw that defensively both teams had a lot of difficulties in the first game make both teams defend well and give very few opportunities to the opponents' attacks? Tonight's defences neutralised the attacks... And that gave rise to a match that was certainly engaged and fast-paced, but without many offensive situations. And as far as we are concerned, we used the ball better than in the first match, but we also conceded far fewer situations, we were rarely caught out. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to create more offensively. Even if there were some interesting situations, we didn't manage to get the better of the Portuguese defence."

ACHRAF HAKIMI

"Benfica played really well. They have quality players, they showed it in the first and second match. It was complicated for us, but I think we worked really well. We created a lot of chances, some good play. In the end, we couldn't score that second goal, but we hope to continue like that on Sunday. There is always something positive to take away. We are first in our group and first in the league. We are working calmly, the group is doing well, and I am sure that the results will follow."
