Christophe Galtier: 'In the end it's a fair result'

The coach and Nordi Mukiele spoke to PSGTV about the Parisians' goalless draw against Reims in Matchday 10 of Ligue 1

CHRISTOPHE GALTIER

“It was a match that was full of nervousness. And even though we created the first chance in the first half, we struggled after that because our opponents played with a lot of intensity. There were times were they went too far, that was our opponents intention and we weren’t able to find the solutions to the problems they caused us, especially in the way we should have played the ball out when we were in the low block.
Ironically, after the suspension - which is a shame with the amount of games coming up and very tough on Sergio - when we were 10v11, the team was better in the second half. Of course there were a lot of changes in our starting eleven so they might have led to a lack of understanding between them in the first half. But in the second half things worked better with a man down. But I’m not sure whether we can say we deserved to win… I think we had some big chances, one on ones, but in the end it was a fair result.”

Nordi Mukiele

“We’re going to put the refereeing to one side and speak about us and the game. I don’t think we put in a very good performance, we did well to get a draw. I’m not happy with tonight’s result, we should have done better in certain situations. The game is over now, we’ll need to work and change a few things both offensively and defensively. The most important thing is to recover well because we have a crucial game on Tuesday.”
