Christophe Galtier and Marquinhos react to the draw

Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier and captain Marquinhos spoke to PSG TV about the UEFA Champions League group stage draw, which saw PSG drawn in Group H alongside Juventus, Benfica and Maccabi Haifa.

Speaking ahead of the Paris-Monaco press conference, Christophe Galtier reacted to the draw for the UEFA Champions League group stage, praising his future opponents: "First of all, we have two former winners of the competition in our group. And Juventus are a recent finalist. They are two giants of European football."

The Rouge et Bleu will face teams they have not faced on the European stage for several years now. As he prepares to write a new chapter in the history of Paris Saint-Germain, Christophe Galtier talks about the great matches that await his side: "I know that these are teams that the club has played in the past. These are great fixtures for us to play, it's an interesting draw."

Marquinhos, the Paris Saint-Germain captain, says he is happy to be back in the Champions League and is already thinking about the work ahead: "It's a special competition. It's always exciting to play, and it's an important competition for us. The whole world is watching the draw! We've found out who our opponents are, we'll start thinking about the games ahead of us, little by little, and start following their matches."

It is a breath of fresh air that awaits our Parisians, with the common desire to write new pages in the beautiful history of the club: "It's a different draw, added the Parisian captain, I played against Benfica with Paris, but a long time ago. It's an opportunity to discover new opponents, opponents who are historical European clubs. The matches will come quickly, we will prepare well."
