Christophe Galtier: "A strong desire to win"

The Paris Saint-Germain manager and Hugo Ekitike spoke to PSG TV about the 5-0 victory over AC Ajaccio on Saturday 13 May at the Parc des Princes, in matchday 35 of Ligue 1.

CHRISTOPHE GALTIER

"Tonight, we followed on from the Troyes game, where we put in a very serious, very intense performance, with a strong desire to win and not give the opposition any hope. This evening, that was the case. Even if at the beginning of the match, we were a bit frustrated by Ajaccio's set-up. The ball was moving but not fast enough in my opinion. As soon as we got the ball moving a bit faster, we managed to put them under pressure. There were some good situations. We were also able to get the ball back very quickly to prevent the opposition from creating situations. We were good in the second half, very good after the break - which is worth mentioning because, as we did in Troyes, we were able to do it tonight, even if we had a lead. The game was over, the players got it done quite quickly in the second half. And afterwards there was a real enjoyment, both in terms of being serious and also in terms of giving pleasure to our supporters who were there in large numbers and who encouraged our players a lot and who must have taken pleasure in seeing Paris Saint-Germain play in this way. The title is up for grabs, the competitors are there. We don't have the right to relax. We have to prepare once again very seriously for the trip to Auxerre. They are a team that will fight for their survival, a team that is still in the fight for survival. Will it be a decisive match for us? We'll see the results of the other teams beforehand. But there are three matches left, we will prepare seriously for this one to win it and then we'll see."

HUGO EKITIKE

"It's nice, it's good because we're playing well as a team. I think we are showing good team spirit through our performances and all the goals we can score in the last two games we are playing. We're getting closer and closer to the goal, but there are still games to go and we're on the right track. Not conceding a goal is proof that we have shown a good defensive mindset and that we have been solid, especially when we scored five goals at the other end. We can be proud of our performance, I think everyone did their job today. The aim is to win all the games, keep our lead and our place at the top of the league, if possible not to concede a goal and to dominate the other opponents."
