Choupo-Moting: 'We are like a family'

Find out what Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting had to say at the traditional pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's Week 8 Ligue 1 clash away to Nice at 17:15 CET:

HIS FIRST STEPS
"I have played in Germany and England and now in France and each time it's been a great experience. I am still getting used to life here, a new country, a new championship, new players and teams... But I'm very happy to play for the biggest club in France with great players."

HIS TRANSFER
"Thomas Tuchel and I had been chatting for several months about a potential transfer. We worked together at Mainz. I learnt a lot with him and liked the idea of working with him again. I was focused on having a good preseason and, in the end, the deal was done in the final days of the mercato. The coach knows what I can give and I'm very happy to play for Paris Saint-Germain."

HIS PLAYER PROFILE
"It's always hard to answer this question, to describe myself. But I like to play with the football, I like to dribble, but also hold up the ball, headers... I just want to give my best for the team and what the coach wants from me. Give my best when I get the opportunity."

HIS ROLE
"I think every player wants to play every game. But I also know there is stiff competition for a starting role. Edinson Cavani is a great striker, who gives everything out on the pitch. I'm happy when I get a chance to help the team. That's my obligation to the team. My personal objectives? I want to score goals and provide assists, that's my job. I want to give it everything, my maximum out on the pitch and show what I can do. Scoring against Rennes was great and its always good to make a positive start when you sign for a new club."

SETTLING IN
"I have settled right in. Everyone has welcomed me really well... Thiago Silva, Cavani, Dani Alves... Even injured, Dani is always with us and we are all very close. It's like a family here. I want it to continue like this, keep working hard and do my best for the team."
