Cavani wins the Golden Foot 2018
Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani received the Golden Foot 2018 on Tuesday at a special ceremony in Monaco.
The award celebrates players over 28 years of age for their sporting performances and also their personality and character. "This really means a lot to me," declared Edinson Cavani after the ceremony. "You just need to look at the players that won this trophy before me... It's magnificent to receive this award. I am very happy because it recognises all the hardwork and sacrifice for the team throughout a players' career."
The Uruguay international joins the likes of Iker Casillas, Gianluigi Buffon, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ronaldinho, al previous winners.
