Brazil draw but are already through

In their final Copa America group stage game Brazil had to settle for a draw against Ecuador (1-1). A result that doesn't mean much for Neymar Jr and Marquinhos' side.

In the last game in the Copa America group stage, Brazil faced Ecuador. And despite the Seleçao having to settle for a draw (1-1), the result didn't have any consequences for Tite's men, who'd won all three of their previous games against Venezuela (3-0), Peru (4-0) and  Colombia (2-1), therefore insuring they ended at the top of Group B and qualification for the quarter final of the prestigious competition.

Having scored two and assisted two in the last three games, Neymar Jr was preserved for this dead rubber, where a starting 11 mostly composed of substitutes was picked by Tite. But the n°10 was present in the stands of the Olímpico Pedro Ludovico stadium.
Marquinhos on the other hand did play the whole game at centre back, making it four starts in a row for Brazil this tournament. He also had the captain's armband.

The next game is in the night from Saturday to Sunday (2:00 French time) where Brazil will face the 4th placed team in Group A.
