Bradley Barcola: "I have confidence in our team and our coach"

Paris Saint-Germain striker Bradley Barcola spoke to the press ahead of his side's UEFA Champions League Matchday 6 clash with FC Salzburg at the Stadion Salzburg on Tuesday 10 December (21:00). Excerpts.

Preparing for the match

"We know that our Champions League situation is difficult. We're not putting any extra pressure on ourselves, but we know we have to win this match. So we're putting everything in place to achieve that."

European results

"We're not worried. We just want to put some good pressure on ourselves. I know that if we do things together as we have done since the start of the season, we'll get the job done. I've got real confidence in our team and our coach. We're working hard, so I have confidence in us and I know we'll get there."

His development within the team

"I know that I have more responsibility than in the past. So I'm going to do everything I can tomorrow to score, to get goals and, above all, to have a great game. I'm not someone who talks a lot on the pitch. But gradually, I'm trying to improve in that area, by speaking up before matches and giving more instructions on the pitch."

The return of Gonçalo Ramos

"With Gonçalo back, we know we have more presence in the box, especially when it comes to crosses. We can also rely on him with his back to goal. It's good for us, he gives us confidence."

Our opponents

"We've been watching this Salzburg team. We know they're going to come at us hard, and we're expecting a different game from the ones in the league, with certainly more space. And when we have that space, we can do a lot of damage."

Luis Enrique's instructions

"The coach tells us not to ask ourselves any questions and to keep playing, concentrating on the team and on playing together. He gives us instructions, so we listen to them and apply them. He's always behind us and encourages us a lot. On the pitch, we have a lot of freedom in our movements, to occupy different areas."
