Brace confirmed for Verratti!
The Ligue de Football Professionnel has officially confirmed the Italian midfielder's brace against Stade de Reims in matchday 22 of Ligue 1.
Paris Saint-Germain's team have been given some good news to start the week with!
In addition to the Rouge et Bleu's victory against Reims this Sunday evening (4-0), Mauricio Pochettino's men were also surprising when it came to goalscorers. As well as goals from Danilo Pereira and Sergio Ramos’s very first goal in the Parisian shirt, Marco Verratti had the luxury to score a brace!
The first goal came at the best possible moment - just before the break - to open the scoring with a superb shot (44'), then a second, on target, that was deflected by a Reims player and which the Ligue de Football Professionnel has therefore officially awarded to him (67').
After having put in a great performance, and having hit the post in the last game against Brest, Marco Verratti has found the net for the first time in Ligue 1 since May 2017! It is the first brace of his career, and his 10th and 11th goals with the club from the capital.
