Bordeaux peg back Paris

The context
Already crowned 'autumn champions', Paris Saint-Germain were looking to celebrate their honorific title with a 15th straight win since the start of the season. The evening's hosts started the match in 12th place, and were aiming to end a winless streak of five league games.

Key moments
After Wednesday's sublime evening against Liverpool, the Parisians - perhaps unsurprisingly - endured a tougher time, and took a full half-hour to spring Bordeaux's trap. Neymar Jr's delicious ball for Angel Di Maria saw the Argentine flash a shot just wide of the target (30'). Neymar Jr was involved again as Paris went in front soon after, getting on the end of Dani Alves' cross at the near post (0-1, 34'). There might have been more in the dying seconds of the half as Neymar Jr (45+1') went close, Di Maria hit a post (45+2'), and the Brazilian might have even had a penalty (45+3')...

Bordeaux took advantage of their good fortune after the restart as Jimmy Briand levelled (1-1, 54'). Injured, Ney made way (58'), but Paris Saint-Germain also have Kylian Mbappé in their ranks, and he put them back in front by winning his one-on-one with Benoît Costil (1-2, 65'). Di Maria was unlucky to find the woodwork a second time - this time testing the crossbar (70') - before Andreas Cornelius' header ensured the hosts a share of the spoils (2-2, 84'). Julian Draxler (90') and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting (90+1') might have won it late on, but the Rouge-et-Bleu had to settle for a point.

A Parisian in the match: Kylian Mbappé
He hadn't scored a league goal in three games, which is an eternity for such a prodigy. After seeing Ney join him at the top of the division's goalscoring chart, he edged ahead again with his 12th of the season, which also makes him the leading scorer in Europe's top five leagues.

The word: Express
He's as quick in moving the ball as he is in escaping from defenders' attentions. Almost unstoppable, Ney's evening was only halted by injury (56'). Before that, though, he had become the fastest Parisian in the last 45 seasons to reach 30 L1 goals, achieving that magical tally in just 32 games. Now that is quick!

The capital club heads to Strasbourg on Wednesday to try to at least maintain - and hopefully plump up - the 14-point cushion they currently have over the chasing pack.
