Blaise Matuidi: "This is a tough group"
Having attended the draw for the group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in Miami, the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, who scored 33 goals in 295 competitive fixtures for the capital club between 2011 and 2017, discussed the outcome.
"This is a difficult group. We've got Atlético de Madrid, of course, who we know well, but also Botafogo, who have just won the Copa Libertadores, and Seattle Sounders, an American side that won the CONCACAF Champions League in 2022. We've got the quality to try to do well and go through, which will obviously be the aim. These will be difficult games, but we'll approach them in the best way possible. Paris Saint-Germain are used to games like these, so we'll prepare for them as well as we can. We know that we'll also have our fans with us because they're all over the world and especially in the United States, and we know that many of them will come and support us."
